Arakan army AA : As rebel groups (AA) entrenched themselves in the village of Noil Boinnah (Pan Tao Pyin) in Maungdu Township, the Myanmar military unleashed a barrage of artillery. This morning one of their shells set Rohingya houses on fire.
As the evening settled, the (AA) launched a counter-attack, firing artillery at Rohingya settlements in the heart of Maungdu township. So far, at least four artillery shells have been fired from their stronghold in Noil Boinnah (Pan Tao Pyin) village.
