PREDICTING TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR LINEUP NEXT SEAON 2021/22 | Ft. JULES KOUNDE
In today’s episode I will be showing the potential lineup of Tottenham/Spurs in the 2021/22 season.
Tottenham finished outside of the top four in the Premier League for the second time consecutively and undoubtedly the main aim for 2021/22 will be to seal a Champions League return and win a trophy to keep Kane happy if he stays.
Although Spurs had a good run of form under Jose Mourinho at the start of the season, they find themselves in the Conference League at the end of the season. It is clear that there are areas of the squad that requires an upgrade. Not only that, they have sacked Jose Mourinho and have appointed Nuno Espírito Santo.
Spurs’ failure to qualify for the Champions League and Kane wanting to leave to win trophies suggests that Daniel Levy will break the bank. Hence, big-money arrivals are likely.
Given the form of their centre backs, 2 new centre back may be signed in the name of Joachim Andersen and Jules Kounde.
Spurs are short of depth at full-back with Serge Aurier and Ben Davies’ positions uncontested, even tho they have secured the signing of Matt Doherty last season. He has not been as effective as he was in Wolverhampton Wanderers. They are most likely targeting a young right wing back, Max Aaron’s from Norwich City to bolster their squad. They need a new midfielder like Marcel Sabitzer to bring more creativity for their squad. A backup striker to Harry Kane is also on the wish list if Kane leaves.
Assuming Spurs can hang on to the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, it seems likely that it will be a case of evolution rather than revolution at the club during Nuno Espirito Santo first summer transfer window in charge.
Let’s hope we will see a rejuvenated Tottenham/Spurs season.
