I had to make a stop on my way to Greece in Sofia, which is the capital city of Bulgaria and I had some time to look around and explore the central part of the city, which is filled with arts and culture, old buildings and archeological sites. On the first day I walked from the Central Station to the pedestrian area, and the National Palace of Culture at the large park with art works and fountains.
On the second day I took the tram from the Central Station to the center again and saw many of the major buildings, the Sofia Hotel Balkan and the nearby Serdica with the Metro station and excavation area of the archeological site.
