Parallel parking is something that many people struggle with. There are however a few tricks that you can use. You can do this in a couple of different ways. This is method 1.
The movie instructs you on where to steer to obtain a good position in the parking space. The steering points are only approximate and need sometimes be adjusted to your specific car. Different cars have different turning radii.
The most important pieces of advice for reversing into a parking space are:
1. Keep a close watch on what is going on around your car.
2. Drive slowly (edge) and stop if you feel that something is wrong.
Don’t edge along for more than a couple of minutes at a time. The clutch becomes hot and needs to cool down before you try again.

Parallel parking, Method 1
Stop beside the space you wish to use to check if it is long enough for your car.
Stop parallel to the space and approximately 1 meter from the car before the space.
Place yourself so that the distance from the rear end of your car is ca ½ meter behind the car beside you.
Reverse until you can see the front end of the car behind you in your right wing mirror.
Steer back until the wheels become straight.
Slowly edge backwards until the rear left corner of your car is in line with the right side of the car behind you.
If you wish, open the door to check. But don’t forget to first put the car in neutral!
Steer fully left and reverse slowly.
Keep an eye on the front left corner of your car so it does not hit the car in front of you.
Put your car in its final position.
Well done!
