Having spent a bunch of money getting a modular synth set-up up & running, I suppose it's about time I actually play something on it.
Still figuring out the best way to "live-loop"/overdub with the gear I have (rather than solving the problem by splashing more cash on a hardware looper), and I cut some corners here and there - pre-made drum loop, hastily-recorded vocals at 4AM whilst escaping from the London heatwave by going nocturnal - but I like it. The main "trick" here is adding another oscillator to my wind synth, by taking advantage of the fact that it outputs audio & MIDI simultaneously: using MIDI-to-CV to control pitch, and an envelope follower driving VCA & filter envelope, to have expression match the EWI's built-in synth audio.
And that "arpeggiated melody" at the end is pretty sweet.
