Yep, you most certainly can make alcohol from bread. Initial fermentation has finished, so now it is time to bottle my Sumerian Beer using a recipe from 8000 year ago. With an ABV of 6%, time to also run some through my Reflux Column.

(Edit) The wash prepared for additional testing towards the end of this video with the Lalvin yeast failed. The only thing I could put it down to was the prolonged time from initial cook and add of Amylase to adding the yeast (2 days). When I went to filter out the solids, there was some natural yeast activity. I can only guess that this was not good yeast and the wash became contaminated. I tried to recover it by adding a third cup of bakers yeast and this failed also.
