My coding story: Yang | Mentoring the tech talent of tomorrow
Meet Yang, a Manager in Technology Consulting at EY, specialising in Microsoft Business Applications and based in London, who went from volunteering at a CoderDojo club in a museum to spearheading a network of clubs at the EY offices.
Yang is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where young people can thrive in tech, and champions diversity in the industry. She actively encourages female participation in club sessions, for example through running events to mark International Women’s Day and Ada Lovelace Day with a focus on engaging girls.
Yang’s leadership has not only inspired the young participants, but also motivated her colleagues to get involved, and her efforts have provided opportunities for around 350 young people so far to explore coding and STEM.
As Yang continues to make a difference, her energy and enthusiasm for supporting the next generation to experience the power of tech is so inspiring. We’re delighted to be part of Yang’s journey, and can’t wait to see what she does next.
