Arromanches Normandy Summer 2022
Last stop on the way home during the wdc72 summer roadtrip.
Here we spend 2 nights at Hotel La Marine right by the water very nicely.

Arromanches is located on the Normandy coast of France, immediately inside the part of the Operation Overlord invasion area known as Gold Beach. On the beach and in the sea off Arromanches are the remains of the artificial harbor Mulberry B. It was composed of precast concrete elements that were towed across the English Channel and was intended to allow easier supply of vehicles, personnel and supplies to the Allied troops. The second port, Mulberry-A, which was built off the US beach of Utah Beach, was destroyed by a storm after only a few days.
