How to upload vector icons with the MLC PowerPoint Add-In

HOW CAN I CREATE A VECTOR ICONS ARCHIVE IN POWERPOINT? 🤔
How many times can it happen that, while working on a presentation, we need to insert icons and other graphic elements to create our slides? But we often do not have them by hand and we are forced to waste precious time looking for them, slowing down the creation of the presentation.
Hi, my name is Maurizio La Cava, I am the founder of Lean Presentation Design and today I'm going to explain you how to create an archive of vector icons with the MLC Add-In for PowerPoint.
First we need to understand where to find these icons.
I'll give you a hint: a portal I really like is flaticon.com, which allows you to search by packs to find ready-made icon packs of all kinds and genres.
Choose the one you prefer and save it on your PC. Opening it, you will find several formats inside: the one you need is svg, the only one that can be edited on PowerPoint.
Extract the svg folder, place it on your desktop and open PowerPoint. Now, from the MLC Add-In menu, click on Graphic Library and, on the Personal tab, right-click and select Create Folder. Choose the name of the folder you want to create.
Now all you have to do is right-click again, select Update File and load the svg files into your archive.
Select them all and proceed.
As soon as the icons are ready, a simple click is all it takes to place them on the slide and modify them to your liking: you can color them, move them, resize them and even break them down into individual elements to reposition them the way you want.
With this little trick included in the MLC Add-In for PowerPoint, you can create as many vector icon archives as you need and have them available in PowerPoint at all times.
