True Dual Straight Pipes No Cats
PLEASE READ FIRST
This is my 2000 Chevy Silverado, with the 5.3, true dual straight pipes, no cats, and 5 inch tips. I do want to note, this was a temporary setup, and has since been changed. I am now running a true dual 2 1/2 inch Thrush welded setup. I will have videos on that soon.
In this video however, the truck was running 2 inch pipe with 5X18 inch tips. The exhaust was in very bad shape, as it had been cut and chopped many times. In this video, the only mods on the truck was my Spectre cold air intake. I also had spacers put in where the o2 sensors were, so I didn't trip the light.
As a side note for anybody who may want to do this to their truck, be warned, its not 100% worth it unless you are planning on alot of modifications down the road like I am. The truck ran a bit sluggish like this, but not bad, and yes, there is an odor that comes with taking the cats off. I should note, it also isn't the most legal of things to do, but the state I live in has no smog check, and my city has no regulations on the matter. Plus with the mods I'll be doing later, they would have to be removed anyway.
Do this setup at your own risk, and be warned it is way too loud, even for a loud exhaust fan like me.

Now, as for the video quality.
I own an almost $300 camera, but because I'm still using this old worn out computer I've had for years, it still likes to hinder my quality, so my footage goes from 1080 HD, to whatever quality youtube sets the final product at. I apologize for this, but I'm doing what I can, and soon should be able to edit better videos. Also I know this is one of the longer videos I have done in a while, but this is 80% of the footage I have from when I had the straights without cats, and since the truck has been redone, I can't get anymore footage, so I added most of what I had.
