In this video Colin, the silent woodturner, turns a 3 point bowl using his traditional turning chisels.
A three point bowl is quite a challenging project for turners of all skill levels with accurate stock preparation and secure work holding being the key to success.
Turned using the Sherwood MC-1420-VF variable speed lathe and chisels from Crown tools is the UK this is a fantastic example of what can be achieved on a relatively small lathe.
A simple hand rubbed finish is all that was needed for this project to help seal and protect the wood fibres.
