i restarted this project upon hearing the news about phantom closing on broadway and although i've never gotten to see the show, this film is a staple of my childhood and young adulthood. i can say with full honesty that this story, the film, the book, the music, the lavishness of the production and the central message about obsession, empathy & the inherent eroticism of darkness heavily affected the media i now consume and enjoy. should i have watched this at ten years old.......we're past that now haha.
