Tegelberg cable car & Hike to the Neuschwanstein castle in May 2023
The ten-minute ride with the Tegelberg cable car gave us a breathtaking view of the Neuschwanstein Castle and the surrounding mountains. The hiking trail leads mostly downhill, eventually, it becomes steeper and gives a wonderful view of the fairy castle. In the end it reaches the famous Marienbrücke bridge.
On this hike we followed in the footsteps of King Ludwig II, who hiked the Tegelberg for the first time in 1857.
