I love Ble...oh snap!
Yep, I do love Blender, but I also love other software. One of those wonderful pieces of software is BlackMagic's Davinci Resolve. If you've never used it, it rocks, guys.
One of the things that really makes it rock is Fusion. Bought from Eyeon - remember them? - and ported into the Resolve Suite of tools along with Fairlight (audio stuff) it turned Resolve from a Colour Grading tool to a complete masterpiece. With the 2D and 3D VFX capabilities of Fusion in its architecture, Resolve is a powerhouse.
One of the best things for an editor, is that way you can replace signs, walls and other parts of your shot with patches made from the footage. So replacing a sign? No problem! Removing graffiti from a wall, a cinch! Replacing a wall in a travelling shot to have a front door and windows that open!!! Well, yes, but you'll need a full blown paid version of the software to get the 3D camera tracker, a 3D model (..blender build and export as an obj or fbx...ahem) and you're on a winner!
You can download and install Blackmagic Resolve 17 - the newest version - from here:

However, in this little tutorial you get the basics for taking a frame from your shot, freezing it, painting it with elements from your footage, making a sign then tracking the old sign from your shot, and then re-applying your frozen frame over the top to fix the nasty one.
Boom.
And at the same time, you get to see my lovely Labrador, Ginny. She's very photogenic, right up to the point before she eats cat poo... Stoopid Hound!
Right crack on, You'll love this one.
