Germany has sent its first warship through the Taiwan Strait in 22 years, defying China's warnings. Regarding this situation, Georgina Higueras, director of the Asia Forum at the Forum of Forums Foundation, points out that the only thing Taiwan requires to navigate its waters is to request a permit, something that Germany has not done.
