Eating delicious homemade meals, drinking endless cups of tea?
Am I allowed to be happy to spend hours outside in the garden?
Seeing the transformation of my dainty hands as they slowly start to harden.
Am I allowed to be happy to spend quality time with my son?
Witness every second of his development filling our days with endless fun?
Am I allowed to be happy that with old friends I’ve connected?
Skype, whatsapp or FaceTime- is that another quiz detected?
Am I allowed to be happy that I’ve had plenty of time to think?
Reflect on what really matters, washed down with lots of drink!
In this scary time where so much is pretty crappy.
I think it’s more important that I AM allowed to be happy.
