Last Christmas we gave you Little Tree,
And the very next day… coronavirus hit.
This year to save us from tiers,
We’re singing you something special.
Once bitten, twice immune?!
You keep your distance,
But hopefully see you soon,
Stay inside and get a vaccination
So…in a year, we re-boot celebration
Happy Yuletide, I wrapped it up and sent it
In Royal Mail, so you can stay protected
Now I know what a Yule I’ve been
Let’s reminisce for now, ‘til we’re together again
No crowded rooms, friends with tiered ties
To the part of the country where they happen to reside
My God, I really need something more to lie on
This pandemic sprint is more like a marathon
Face of another with a smile in their eyes
Face undercover but we’ve allll changed our lives
Ooo
Now we found a vaccine hopefully it won’t catch us again
SIDENOTE: We were both bought the same jumper, separately, and by different people!
Let's hope 2021 is so much better.
