Reavers of Midgard-The Card Game
Reavers of Midgard-The Card Game is a competitive game for 2-6 players designed by Aaron Holland and published by Grey Fox Games. The game plays in around 30-45 minutes depending on your player count.
Although I did not specifically talk about the 2 player game in my review, it does involve a variant. My review does mention that I think the best player count is 4-5.
My copy of the game was generously provided by the publisher, but my opinions are my own.
