Deliciously flavorful, aromatic, rich, creamy, and restaurant-style paneer gravy. It is surely the easiest paneer dish to make at home! This recipe is the Punjabi version of shahi paneer. Of course, it is inspired by the Mughlai version but with a completely different flavor profile. It has orangey-red colored gravy just like typical Punjabi gravies.
Servings: 3
Tomatoes, 4-5
Paneer, 250g
Oil/Ghee/Butter, 1 Tbsp
Garlic Pods, 3-4
Cashews, 6-8
Coriander Powder, 1 Tsp
Chilli Powder, 1 Tsp
Salt to Taste
Turmeric Powder, 1/2 Tsp
Garam Masala, 1/2 Tsp
Milk, 200ml
Jaggery Powder, 1 Tsp
Cream and Coriander to Garnish
Instructions:
1. Roughly dice tomatoes and slice the paneer.
2. In a pan, add oil/ghee/butter, cashews and garlic, sauté for 5 Minutes.
3. Add tomatoes, and spices. Cook for 10 minutes covered. Keep aside and let cool.
4. In blendjet, add milk, and cool down mix of tomatoes. Blend together.
5. Add back to the pan, bring to boil, add jaggery powder and paneer slices.
6. Mix and garnish with cream and coriander.
