The skies above New York City were calm, but Thor, standing at the edge of Avengers Tower, felt a surge of unease. Beside him, Captain America, still recovering from their battle with Ultron, noticed his tension.

Superman nodded. “I understand. I only wish to ensure that your world is safe.”
Thor, still suspicious, studied the Man of Steel. “If you truly mean no harm, show us your strength. Only then can we judge the truth of your words.”
Superman hesitated, but nodded. “I’ll give you a demonstration, but I won’t hold back.”
Steve shot Thor a glance. “Thor, are you sure about this?”
Thor grinned, excitement sparking in his eyes. “A warrior must test the strength of those he might call allies.”
Thor hurled Mjolnir toward Superman, the air crackling with lightning. Superman’s eyes glowed red, releasing a blast of heat vision that met the hammer head-on, creating a massive shockwave. Superman deflected the hammer, and Thor caught it with a smile.
