The air was thick with tension as dark clouds rolled across the horizon, casting an ominous shadow over the mountains of Japan. The calm before the storm was palpable, yet nothing could hide the immense power that rippled through the very fabric of reality. The ground beneath trembled with a sense of impending doom, as if the earth itself feared the battle that was about to unfold.

Exile had returned.

MUGEN:    • MUGEN

For over a thousand years, it had been sealed in a dark dimension, a prison forged by the earliest practitioners of Ansatsuken. They had been the only ones strong enough to imprison it, binding Exile with their life force and ensuring that the monstrous entity would never threaten the world again. Yet, time had worn away those bonds, and Exile had escaped, fueled by hatred and a burning desire for revenge.

The practitioners of modern Ansatsuken—Akuma, Gouken, Ken Masters, and Ryu—had all received the same message, a voice that echoed in their minds like a death knell.

"Come to me, or Japan falls."

Exile's voice had been filled with venom, a chilling reminder of the consequences if they refused the challenge. There was no escaping this battle. If they did not face Exile, countless lives would be lost, and the land would be left in ruin. The time had come for the strongest warriors of Ansatsuken to face the ultimate test.

Ryu stood at the foot of the mountain, the wind pulling at his tattered white gi. His brow was furrowed, and his fists clenched tightly at his sides. For years, he had trained relentlessly, mastering the art of Ansatsuken, yet he had never felt the weight of such a battle. The enormity of Exile's power was beyond anything he had encountered before. His mind flashed to his friends and mentors, each of them carrying the same burden.

Beside him, Ken Masters exhaled sharply, running a hand through his wild blond hair. His red gi stood out against the somber backdrop, but there was no trace of his usual bravado. Ken knew what was at stake. This wasn't a fight for pride or glory—it was a fight for survival.

"We've faced some tough fights before, but this... this feels different," Ken muttered, his tone unusually somber.

Ryu nodded without turning to him. "Exile is unlike anything we've ever faced. We may not walk away from this."

From the shadows, a figure stepped forward, his presence immediately commanding. Gouken, the master of both Ken and Ryu, stood tall despite the years etched into his face. His eyes, filled with wisdom, scanned the horizon. His calm demeanor belied the turmoil within. He had felt Exile's power once before, during his training in the forgotten scrolls of Ansatsuken. The old stories had warned of this day—a day when the evil they had sealed would return, stronger and more vengeful than before.

"Do not let fear cloud your judgment," Gouken said, his voice steady. "We are here because we have no other choice. Together, we will face Exile, and we will find a way to stop him. Remember your training, and do not fall to despair."

A low rumble of laughter cut through the air, and from the shadows on the other side of the mountain appeared Akuma, the most dangerous of them all. His red eyes glowed with malice, and his dark aura pulsed with violent energy. His gi was black, his skin weathered from years of relentless combat. He was the embodiment of the darker side of Ansatsuken, the one who embraced the power of the Satsui no Hado, the killing intent that flowed through the martial art.

"So, the time has come," Akuma said, his voice a low growl. "Exile will fall by my hand. No one can stop me."

"Akuma, this isn't about you," Ryu interjected, his gaze hardening. "This is bigger than our differences. If we don't work together, Exile will destroy us all."

Akuma merely smirked, but he did not argue. Even he knew that Exile was a threat unlike any other. For all his pride and arrogance, Akuma understood that this battle would require every ounce of strength from each of them.

The ground shook violently as a crack tore through the sky, and the air became suffused with a malevolent energy. The temperature dropped, and from the depths of the mountain, a massive figure emerged. Exile had arrived.

He stood impossibly tall, his pale skin glowing with an eerie light. His eyes were cold, filled with ancient malice and a thirst for destruction. Exile was free.

"You are the ones who dare to call yourselves masters of Ansatsuken?" Exile's voice boomed across the landscape. "Pathetic. You have no idea of the power I wield. You will suffer for the sins of your ancestors, and I will send you to the same prison they tried to banish me to."

Ryu, Ken, Gouken, and Akuma stood together, facing their greatest challenge. There was no escape, no retreat.
