On December 8, 2023, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, officers were dispatched on reports of a person wearing all black that was sitting outside on the curb crying. According to the caller, the person was crying loud enough that they could hear it inside their house. Officers made contact with the individual, named Ashley. She denied everything. Officers were told by dispatch that Ashley had a warrant, but found out shortly after that she in fact did not, and she was released.
After another 30 minutes, dispatch received another call regarding Ashely yelling on her phone in the same area. Officers again responded. Ashley again denied everything. Officers determined she would need to be placed under arrest for her actions up to this point. She was decentralized and handcuffed. Shortly after, she began hitting her head on the roadway, causing officers to need to hold her head on the ground so she could not hurt herself further.
Ashley was taken to the hospital where she was medically cleared before being taken to jail. Ashely was charged with resisting or obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct. She was found guilty of resisting or obstructing an officer and sentenced to 90 days in local jail.
