Load data from Azure Data Lake Storage to SQL Data Warehouse
In this Microsoft Azure Step-by-Step Tutorial I'm showing how to use PolyBase external tables to load data from Azure Data Lake Storage Gen1 & Gen2 into Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
Although you can run adhoc queries on data stored in Data Lake Storage, this is not recommend.
That's why I also showing how to importing the data into the SQL Data Warehouse, as well as define partitions, for best performance.
