Corporate and Economic Laws
Source – Munish Bhandari Sir’s Mainbook and Handbook. ICAI’s Study Material and past 2 attempts RTP & MTP.
Approach-
1. See Amit Popli Sir’s revision video. If not available for a particular topic or you need more clarity, see Darshan Khare sir’s revision video. Darshan Khare Sir’s amendment video and notes are nice. Sanidhya Saraf sir’s audio clips for law is also very helpful and is a must listen. Try to hear these audio clips when you are doing unproductive activities in the day. You can also listen them when you are trying to sleep. They are a game changer if you use them nicely.

2. For Corporate Laws- After seeing the revision video, learn from Munish Sir’s handbook. Where it is mentioned in his book that a particular topic is given only concisely then refer mainbook for that topic. His handbook is very to the point and makes learning law easy and manageable. If you are short of time then you may use the charts which Darshan Sir shares in his revision video. Then try solving questions from ICAI’s Study Material and past attempt questions of ICAI from main book which is given topic wise. Try to mark important points. Wherever there is an eligibility criterion for an application to be admitted, learn it by hard (like in topics – Compromise and Arrangement, Inspection and Inquiry & Oppression and Mismanagement). Managerial Remuneration limits are also often tested.

3. For Economic Laws- Learn from ICAI’s Study Material itself. They have given charts/diagram for lot of topics and they are majorly enough for exam purpose. Where you find that data in charts/ diagram is insufficient or unavailable then learn from text. Read the whole text for first time and mark the relevant text for learning purpose. IBC is very nicely given in Munish Sir’s handbook so it is sufficient for that. Then try solving questions from ICAI’s Study Material and past attempt questions of ICAI from main book which is given topic wise. Try to mark important points. Try to do the questions on the same day. Never leave them for next day. Mark the important or unique questions for last day revision.

4. If you have less time for a topic, try to learn at least those sections of the topic from which past exam questions have come. I had done this for Arbitration and Conciliation.

5. If you are planning to leave any topic then at least hear the audio clip of that topic and learn the question which has came from that topic in RTP & MTP.

6. Covering the last few attempts amendments is extremely important. Better make a checklist of it and mark the topics on last day as and when they are revised. If you miss revising anyone on last day, you are inviting trouble.

7. Go for past 2 attempts RTPs and MTPs. Prefer watching a Youtube video where a faculty is solving these contents (ICAI Faculty also shares these videos nowadays). RTPs generally have tricky questions which if solved first by oneself, may lead to loss of confidence and drain a lot of time. It’s better to learn it to approach in Institute’s way. ICAI updates these contents without issuing corrigendum so stick to ICAI’s website pdf every time. Don’t rely on old pdf and printouts.

8. You might now revise and appear for a mock test. Some people advocate multiple revisions. I had 2 at best. I prefer a detailed study rather than multiple light doses.
