Today I’m showing the process of moving from default assets to 100% custom-made pixel art for my game. 🎨
I built a complete set of furniture in Aseprite, including a Bed, a Wardrobe, and a full Kitchen Unit (Fridge + Stove). In this video, I break down the technical side of gamedev, specifically the "Alignment Struggle" of getting 48x48 tiles to snap perfectly to the RPG Maker MZ grid.
Inside this Devlog:
Asset Showcase: Close-ups of the Bed, Wardrobe, Fridge, and Kitchen Unit.
The Alignment Fix: How I adjusted padding in Aseprite to fix grid issues.
The Speed Build: Watching the room come together in the editor.
The Play Test: Checking the collision and scale with the main character.
Tools Used:
🛠️ Art: Aseprite
⚙️ Engine: RPG Maker MZ
🎬 Editing: CapCut
