Visiting the Moorland Conservation Area in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
Federal Environment Minister Steffi Lemke visited a peatland conservation area in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and officially opened the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Peatland Agency in Malchin under the motto "Together for the peatlands of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania." This model project, serving as an interface between practitioners, administrators, and scientists for peatland conservation issues, is unique in Germany. One of its key tasks is to provide information on central issues, offer expert advice to various stakeholders, and network them.
