C3 LS Swap Pt. 21: First Start of the LS1 Sounds Amazing-The Beast Lives!!!
In this video, I finally find out if the LS1 engine I purchased for my C3 Corvette is good. Thank God that I can say that so far my gamble seems to have paid off.
I walk through the process of installing a 1973 big block radiator (I already had the big block core support and the 1973 big block radiator has an integral filler neck) in the car. This is a big win, especially since it saved me several hundred dollars compared to the LS specific radiators on the market today.
In addition, I detail the best way I could find to adapt the radiator hoses from an LS engine to a stock C3 Corvette radiator.
The engine sounds amazing and I can't wait to be able to take the first drive and test out my new transmission.
