Slipknot - Metabolic (Full Cover)
It's that time of year once again! Time for me to bust out the ol' jumpsuit and do a Slipknot cover just in time for spooky season! This one is special for multiple reasons. 1) This song always stood out to me and even though it isn't necessarily as popular as some of their other tracks, the flow and brutality of it just always hit so good. and 2), I spent the extra time aligning the entire tempo map of the song precisely to the fluctuating tempo of the original song. (I'm talking bar by bar, measure by measure tempo adjustments...) I did this because I wanted to give honor to Joey Jordinson and Paul Gray as much as possible by not only covering the song, but by trying to make it as close to the original as possible, by including the natural human flow of the song recorded without a click. I was proud with how it came out and think the natural fluctuation added to the sound for sure! What do you think???
