Netflix's Latest Bomb: "Uglies" Review and Breakdown
Today I'm taking a look at the latest Netflix original movie that could've been an email: Uglies. In a world where young adult dystopian novels were still popular, Uglies revolves around a society where everyone has to get a mandatory Pretty surgery to turn them Pretty once then turn 16. But all is not what it seems, even with a premise so silly I can't help but laugh, is there more to Uglies than meets the eye? Starring Joey King (The Kissing Booth), Chase Stokes (Outer Banks), Laverne Cox (Orange is the New Black), alongside Brianne Tju and Keith Powers, we see what happens when a group of actors and actresses go out there and try their best when they're given absolutely nothing to work with.
