It's Better When It's Good At Home #88
When I don't know what to make for dinner, I call Jean-François Mallet, the author of the famous Simplissime books, and in a few minutes he'll give me a killer recipe. We'll share it with you here. Simple recipes too #itsbetterwhenitsgood #simplissime
Serves 2
Preparation: 10 min
Cooking: 10 min
Ingredients
4 garlic cloves
Fresh mint
1 hanger steak
Cottage cheese
Curry
Neutral oil (grape seed)
Salt
Pepper
Preparation
Slice the garlic cloves very thinly.
Sauté the garlic slices in the oil.
When the garlic is golden, set aside.
Save the oil for cooking the meat.
Season with salt and pepper, and cover both sides of your hanger steak with curry powder.
Brown the hanger steak in the garlic oil you used earlier.
Mix the fromage blanc with the curry powder and fresh mint.
The fromage blanc should be very cold.
Add a drizzle of oil. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
Once the meat is rare, slice it, add fresh mint leaves, and the garlic chips.
Finally, drizzle the meat with a little cooking oil.
Serve with the yogurt sauce and Basmati rice, for example.
