The campfire is sparking, and the night is surprisingly quiet because of it.
Simon did not sleep yet, for it is still something to do.
Beneath the moon, he was thinking.
"How is she a successor of the Niflheim family but knew nothing about it? Even the book in their house seemed unfamiliar to her."
The book is known as the dragon's note.
It was written by the mighty Hedwig himself, only to copy his power.
Now think of that. It was such a silly move.
And he did not want to have his powers anymore now. The massive change happened in less than a month.
He was a fearful man whose presence had been considered a myth.
The establishment of the myth was fast. The collapse was even faster.
As for Simon himself, he just witnessed a legend demised.
"Meredith has something hidden from me, most definitely."
"What, you are suspecting me?"
The girl came out of the tent.
Her hair still shined like a star, even at night.
"You are objectively acting weird and call yourself the daughter of Edith. How would I not suspect you?"
"Well, I can doubt you being the fake seven-colored magician."
"Get lost. It's now late at night. Go to sleep."
"Admit it. You are a caring person."
"Do not act like we are couples or what. Just get away."
"You were just like me...and I know it."
The fatigue struck Meredith, causing her to sleep on the ground."
Simon did not want to stick with her, so he went away.
He did give her a quilt before he left lest she got cold.
It is not a 'caring' behavior to him, but to prevent the essential client from freezing to death.
