Ego
Far from being the negative complex that new age spirituality would have us believe, we are the Ego. To be more precise, the Ego is the center of our conscious mind, and by its strength are we kept safe from the incursions of the unconscious. The healthy Ego is one that respects its relative position within the psyche and has accepted the polarity inherent in life. How does this polarity present itself in the psyche? How are we to integrate this numinous other?
