Roxobel is a town in northwestern Bertie County, North Carolina, dating back to the early eighteenth century. Roxobel has a population of approximately 224 people with a median age of 42 and nearly 65% African American. The median household income of EVERY white household is 3 times that of black households. When accounting for all data points, whites and blacks are on the same level. However, once race was held, blacks were no longer in the race (considering African Americans are over 65% of this population). To qualify this investigation of Roxobel, there is a significant research benefit: the small population and minorities as the majority. In this documentary, there is an in-depth examination of the probable cause of this enormous wealth gap in a minute subset of the American population.
