How to check Laptop model & Serial number
There are three ways to check model & serial number of your laptop:
1. On the bottom or back edge of the laptop. If the battery is removable, inside the battery compartment. If the laptop separates into a tablet, on the edge where the tablet connects to the keyboard. For Desktops, the serial number is found on the side of the desktop.
2. By checking it in the system information folder.
Click the Start button, and then type System Information in the search box.
In the list of search results, under Programs, click System Information to open the System Information window.
Look for Model: in the System section.
3. By CMD.
Open the Command Prompt by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard, then pressing X. Select Command Prompt (Admin) on the menu.
Type wmic bios get serialnumber and then press Enter on your keyboard.
The serial number will be shown on the screen.
