This is another fantastic historical young adult fiction by Alan Gratz. It tells the stories of people from different cultures and experiences as they unite together against a common enemy, Adolf Hitler's German Nazis. Like his book, Refugee, each character gets a chance to tell his or her story from their perspectives, always leaving their tale with a hook that makes you stick around for them to come back and tell you what happened next to them. The whole story focuses on one day in World War II, D-Day. By the time you finish reading, you'll feel like you were there, all the suspense, the horror, and the courage will be felt.
