STRATEGY
Left Side:
The left side player's job is to keep the totem up. You cannot stand on the plate forever since the totem's damage begins to ramp up and will kill you in around 18 seconds. Therefore, the goal is to stand on the totem for about 10-14 seconds and then eager edge off of it back to middle. Doing this action "resets" the ramped up damage of the totem back to square one, allowing you to eager edge back to it in order to begin the process over again. The timing on going back to the totem is as soon as you see "Annihilator Totem" on the left side of your screen. In order to stay alive against the totem's damage and all the ads shooting at you I used a build around having restoration x2 up as much as possible, ideally having 100% uptime.
My specific build was as follows:
Aspect: Icarus Dash, Touch of Flame
Fragments: Wonder, Torches, Solace, Empyrean
Grenade: Healing
Exotic Armor: Verity's Brow
Energy Weapon: Vex Mythoclast
This build essentially allows you to use your energy weapon, in this case vex, since you need an energy weapon that matches your subclass to generate grenade energy quickly via Verity Brow's exotic perk Death Throes. You don't really need to have your grenade up all the time, but it's more of a safety thing in case you're not able to keep restoration x2 up from killing ads. I also found in my experience that throwing a healing nade inside of a well of radiance to proc restoration was not consistent and sometimes would not work, therefore I just avoided using well as a whole since the restoration x2 effect was already enough to keep me alive. In terms of mods I used elemental armaments, seeking wells, font of might, and elemental time dilation, all with the goal of boosting my vex mythocast damage whenever I was able to generate and pick up a solar well.
Right Side:
Right sides job is to do the encounter as "normal" by gathering deathsinger power to charge the door. Use eager edge to get to middle faster from the totem. Alternate with your partner in killing the wizard opposite the side of the knight that is already spawned in order to save time by not having to wait for the knight to spawn. Try to not go over 20 deathsinger power as any more will take too long to deposit and therefore you won't be able to take the brand from your teammate fast enough. We also found that calling out the brand timer when the unstoppable ogre spawned was key in order to understand if the person middle had enough time to kill the unstoppable ogre. Ideally if the ogre spawns and there was about 15 seconds left on brand timer the person middle had more than enough time to kill it.
If you give this a go, good luck, and hopefully some of this information was helpful. Thanks for stopping by!
