Thule Thule 599 UpRide cycle carrier is the premium universal roof mounted bike carrier that grips the tyre and not the bike frame making it ideal for carbon frames and bike with delicate paintwork. This demonstrational video shows the bike rack being fitted into the t-tracks on Thule WingBar Edge roof bars, and the lock barrels inserted into the carrier. The front supporting arm is adjusted to the appropriate wheel size setting for the bike. With the front support arm raised, the bike is lifted onto the bike rack and the second bike support arm is clicked to clamp around the front wheel. A pump buckle tightening system is used to secure the bike on the carrier and the rear wheel is secured with a pump buckle wheel strap. The integrated cable lock is used for additional security. Unloading the bike can be done in a few seconds by unlocking the cable lock and storing the cable inside the bike rack. A press of the buckle on the front bike support arm releases the wheel and the bike can be lifted off the roof. The front supports are reset and folded flat to the roof.
