CMP round 3 1911a1 spring replacement.
Hello everyone, this is my round 3 rack grade CMP1911a1 that I received from @CivilianMarksmanshipProgram. It is an Ithaca frame @remington rand slide.
Rack grade was the only tier offered however I was going to choose rack grade in an attempt to get an original finish and increase my chances of getting a matching slide.
In this video I go over replacing the recoil spring, firing pin spring, and mainspring. As can be seen in the video, the original springs are significantly shorter than the Wolff Springs (https://www.gunsprings.com/) that I replaced them with. I used the stock spring weight as a guide.
The gun is much tighter now and a range review will be next.
