Shop Organization Projects
While I have a mostly dedicated shop, I still have to share with a lot of non-woodworking stuff! Usually this works just fine, but there are times when it just doesn't. So, I recently tackled a couple of simple little projects that help me better organize my space and keep things looking better.
In South Eastern North Carolina I would say that an air conditioner is just about a requirement. While I can't afford to install a permanent solution, I was able to pick up a portable a/c that does a somewhat adequate job. The problem is...it took up valuable space on top of an old potting bench along one wall of my shop. So...let's build a shelf to hold the a/c unit.
One of my other hobbies is cycling. And while two of my bikes have a somewhat permanent home off the carport, three of my bikes need to be in my shop and they take up valuable space. No big problem...we'll just hand them on the wall.
These are simple, yet very effective, projects that are helping create a nice environment to work in.
