In this video, I show how to use the invNorm feature on the TI-84 calculator to find a value or z score when you have a normal distribution, know the mean, know the standard deviation, and know the area to the left of the value you want to find.
While my TI-Smartview is updated and can do areas besides only to the left, I emphasize that many older calculators can do area to the left. The notation for older calculators is invNorm(area, mean, sd) whereas newer calculators will be invNorm(area, mean, sd, left/center/right).
