‘e-Invoicing’ or ‘electronic invoicing’ is a system in which B2B and Export invoices are electronically authenticated by GSTN . Under this system, an Invoice Reference Number (IRN) will be issued against every invoice by the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP). The first IRP was launched by the National Informatics Centre at einvoice1.gst.gov.in. All invoice information shall be transferred from IRP portal to e-way bill and GST portal in real-time.
Therefore, there will be no need for manual data entry while filing GSTR-1 return and generating part-A of the e-way bills.
