Oblivion released back in 2006 and was seen as the KING of RPG's... and one Franchise was coming for that spot... Two Worlds was launched in 2007 and was immediately compared to The Elder Scrolls in almost every-way. It failed to surpass Oblivion but managed to curate its own unique audience...
Then, in 2010, Two Worlds 2 was released to much less fan-fare. The sequel was better recieved by critics for being a more comprehensive game... but in the process - Two Worlds lost its unique charm and 'Eurojank' feel and instead just crossed into Uncanny Valley...
A lot of people love this game and I did enjoy playing it... but the original Two Worlds will always have a place in my heart.
