After Nightdive Studios resurrected System Shock 1 and 2, remastered System Shock turning it into the enhanced edition with updated visuals and controls, then bought the rights to the System Shock IP, they set to work on completely remaking System Shock 1 with modern graphics, updated UI and gameplay improvements and a tighter focus on survival horror. Though they have stumbled occasionally on their way, their insistence on listening to the community, high standards of quality, and crystal clear transparency are set to deliver us a remake we could seldom dream of a few years ago. Join me as I play through their latest and final update of the System Shock remake demo before the game ships in summer 2021.
