In this video, I discuss the current state of U.S. foreign policy concerning Iran and its repercussions on global stability. Imagine being told in 2020 that, in four years, Iran would launch hundreds of ballistic and cruise missiles at Israel, and neither Israel nor the U.S. would significantly respond. Fast forward to 2024, and this scenario has become a reality due to a series of poor foreign policy decisions by the current U.S. administration. These decisions include allowing Iran to restart its uranium enrichment program, negotiating from a position of weakness, and lifting the missile embargo on Iran.
I explore how these actions have emboldened Iran, leading to increased aggression and diminished U.S. deterrence in the Middle East. The video also covers the consequences of the U.S. not responding firmly to Iranian provocations, such as the blockade of the Red Sea by Houthi rebels and attacks on U.S. servicemen. Furthermore, I highlight the recent events of October 7th and the U.S.'s inadequate response, as well as the political implications of these policies as the U.S. heads into an election year.
Ultimately, I argue that the Biden administration foreign policy decisions are undermining U.S. and Israeli interests and stability in the Middle East.
