Welcome back to the second episode of How to Make a Minecraft Resourcepack FROM NOTHING!... where I teach you to make a texturepack from scratch, for free.
In this episode, I explain what all of the different texture folders contain, and we change our first item - the diamond - into an amethyst! That not being enough, however, I also explain how to modify the name of the diamond to say 'Amethyst' as well.
If this tutorial helped you somehow, let me know by hitting the like button! And make sure to subscribe because you don't wanna miss out on the next episode - we're doing armor.
The software used in this video is called "GIMP" - it's completely free and very nice:

Wow, you actually read the entire description (or at least scrolled down to the bottom of it)? Huh. As a reward, here's the symbol you use to change the color of text in Minecraft texturepacks: §
Simply put it next to a number or letter in colorcode to change stuff. For example "§4§lDark Red Bolded" will result in dark red bolded text. You're welcome!
