🔵 HOW TO MEASURE A NET?
To measure a screw thread, you need to consider two important elements: the diameter and the pitch.
Measure the screw diameter:
The screw diameter can be measured using calipers or a micrometer. Place the screw in the measuring tool and tighten it until it touches both opposite sides of the screw. Read the measurement on the measuring tool and record it.
Measure the screw pitch:
The pitch is the distance between two successive ridges of a thread. To measure the pitch, you can use a thread gauge. Align the gauge with the screw thread, then read the measurement indicated on the gauge.
Note that you can also measure a screw thread with a dial indicator, but this method is more complex and requires more advanced skills.
