As you watch David Beckham greet yours truly earlier this year, let me tell you that we’re going to highlight technology in use at LA Galaxy. But, I want you to know I love LA Galaxy.
Yes, the city of Angels is home to the LA Galaxy, or rather Carson.
Regardless, it sunny southern California so let’s see a Technology Golazo LA Galaxy.
As we kickoff, Technology Golazo LA Galaxy is a celebration of Evolv - this frictionless security screening tech at Dignity Health Sports Park
is one of ten MLS facilities using the Evolv Express AI-powered security screening.
The vendor announcement highlights advanced sensor technology and AI, to move fans through venue entrances more quickly than with traditional metal detectors.
As for Business Value, well first a quick a shout out to Patricia (the mom not the daughter) as she’s been my ticket taker for decades - a wonderful lady. And my mom was a Pattie Anne.
Business Value, sorry. As a fan, I notice how much faster things move this season. And that extra time, allows fans to
spend more time at concessions and merchandise outlets pre-match and get to their seats to catch kickoff.
This Siklu by Paragon post features an innovative Gigabit-speed portable network solution to assist the coaching staff at away game stadiums.
And this isn’t packaged goods. This is LA Galaxy bespoke collaboration with to connect a base station and terminal units, both operating on an milimeter Wave frequency,
to the iPads of the coaching staff on the sideline.
And given all the match day comms interference from other network equipment, 27 thousand smart phones and their handlers -
thousands of spectators each with a smaer, each of whom probably is carrying a smartphone,
there is a great deal of potential interference and LA Galaxy turned to Siklu to construct a portable, private network immune to common sources of interference.
Now, that’s a Golazo - and perhaps a reason why the LA Galaxy are top of the table in the west.
