What is hate speech?
Hate speech, in general, is seen as a restriction on #freespeech that aims to prevent or prohibit speech that subjects a person, a group, or a segment of society to hatred, violence, mockery, or indignity.
Instead of being subsumed in the current provisions covering provocative acts and statements, the Law Commission has suggested that distinct crimes be introduced to the #IPC to criminalise hate speech more precisely.
