I recently finished the Unreal World Builder Fellowship! A very intense three-week course teaching tons of things in regards to building our own worlds and virtual production from start to finish. We rolled a dice with keywords that our scenes needed to contain in some way, it was up to us to interpret.
Used lots of @quixeltools Megascans, some @Substance3D assets, some @Sketchfab, modeled a ton of stuff myself as well, and on top of that I built @houdini3d assets and explored geometry nodes in Unreal Engine 5. Great learning experience!
Big thanks to @UnrealEngine for hosting the course and to mentors, TA's and fellows alike for all the feedback and support during this short and crazy project!
Rendered with Lumen, Unreal Engine 5.1.1
Also comes with an elevator pitch:
The seas didn't stop rising. The scientists were right, and here we were, comsuming the whole planet fast. Power plants didn't work anymore, water was everywhere and in the way of their distribution networks.
At least no one had to spend their vacation in Venice to experience something unique. Most cities remained standing, but to get power, we had to turn to the nodes. It was a weird contrast of clean high tech in the middle of the chaos.
All of a sudden we were only capable of having power traveling very short distances, so the nodes were everywhere. At first we didn't like it but once winter came around, we realized there was no choice.
Cheers!
