In this video I show you how to cut and shorten a bicycle seatpost. This applies to most aluminum seatpost that you buy aftermarket. For carbon seatpost, best way to cut it is using a handsaw or jigsaw, for steel seatpost, my advise is to just upgrade to aluminum for easier service and weight savings.
